Catel and Bocquet's graphic novel autobiography of Josephine Baker's experience in Paris. In 1925, at the age of 19, Josephine came to Paris and became an idol of the roaring 20s, captivating the eyes of Picasso, Cocteau, Le Corbusier and Simenon. During the 1930s, Baker rose to fame as the first Black star on a world stage from London to Vienna, Alexandria to Buenos Aires. After WWII, and her time involved with the French Resistance, Baker devoted herself to the struggle against racial segregation in the United States.
